Merry Christmas Prevails In Chicago!

This has been a pretty good Christmas season for me. My wonderful wife has completed all the shopping and the wrapping. If it were not for her contribution to this season there would be no Christmas at our house!

Another thing that I have noticed this year is that there has been a marked increase of people using the greeting "Merry Christmas" as opposed to "Happy Holidays". I have been pleasantly surprised by the volume of folks who use the greeting with real intention and enthusiasm. I think the liberal and politically correct crowd have lost some ground in this area.

However, there was one man in Chicago who was boarding an American Airline flight at LaGuardia Airport who took real offense to hearing Merry Christmas. It seems that as the man entered the airport he was greeted by an AA employee and a cheerful "Merry Christmas" and became so incensed that he shouted at the employee and admonished her to not use that expression with anyone else because not everyone celebrates Christmas. You can read about the story here.

It turns out that as the man boarded the plane he was once again exposed to  the same greeting from the flight attendant. Again, he shouted and caused a commotion on the plane. He failed to cool his jets, no pun intended, and the airline removed him from the plane to the cheers of fellow passengers!

First, I want to commend American Airlines for allowing their employees to address this particular holiday correctly. Second, I would like to congratulate the passengers on the jet for their support of Christmas and their rejection of the rowdy passenger's inappropriate behavior. Third, I would encourage travelers to reward American Airlines for their stance by purchasing tickets on their planes!

But let us consider the more serious story that underlies this bizarre incident in Chicago. When I read this story I was reminded of a verse in the Bible that aptly describes what really happened in the LaGuardia airport. Here it is...

Romans 1:28 Since they didn't think it was worthwhile to acknowledge God, God abandoned them to a defective mind to do inappropriate things.

There you have it, when you don't think it is worthwhile to acknowledge God He will abandon you to do inappropriate things!

It was inappropriate to throw such a tantrum over a greeting that most accurately captures the meaning of this season. Whether you like it or not Jesus Christ is the true reason for this season. He is the central character of all history. He is the Lord of Lords and the King of Kings. He is Counselor, Wonderful, Redeemer, Savior, Creator, God Himself and the soon returning Victor over evil and the world!

Failure to acknowledge Him is a mistake with eternal consequences. He came to live a sinless life and die a criminals death. He rose again from the dead and all who put their trust in His redemptive work to be payment for their sins will receive forgiveness and life eternal.

Have you made this important decision? I encourage you to trust Christ as your Savior today! You can find out how by clicking here!

Oh, I almost forgot, Merry Christmas!

Jesus Was A Listener, He'll Listen To You!

Christ Community Church - Brookside Campus
I have been a Baptist most of my life. I pastored four different Southern Baptist churches and for the most part my theological perspective is Baptist.
However, life is full of change and my wife and I have been blessed to find the Evangelical Free denomination and we recently joined the church in the picture. This church, Christ Community, is located at 67th and Wornall in Kansas City, Missouri. If you are looking for a church with spectacular preaching and amazing music then I encourage you to check them out. We gather this Sunday at 10:00 a.m.
The preaching is usually based on series which take you through a Bible book and we have been studying through the Gospel of John. The recurring theme of John's account of Jesus life is "Jesus the listener". I think this is an aspect of Jesus personality that I had missed for years. Jesus listened to nearly everyone he met. He wasn't pushy with His opinions and was always attentive to "honest inquiry".
Jesus listened to the deeply rreligious but spiritually lost when He had a conversation with Nicodemus in chapter three. He listened to the cast away woman at the well, in chapter four. He listened to the indifferent in chapter five when He dealt with the lame man by the pool of Siloam. He listened with a tender heart to the grieving Martha at a cemetary in chapter 11. He listened to he relativist, Pontius Pilate, in chapter 18. When Jesus listened to people He gained a deeper glimpse into the condition of their heart and He always offered them a solution which was Himself!
I think this sermon series has really spoken to my need to become a better listener. It's hard to minister to folks when all you do is talk. I hope to become a listener like Jesus.
I also came to a conclusion about this blog. I would really like to engage some of you who read these posts by attempting to answer any questions you might have concerning the Bible, Jesus, Heaven, Salvation or any topic at all. My email address is freegracegospel@gmail.com.
Do you have a question?  I would love to chat and potentially give you an answer that might satisfy your curiosity.
I have noticed that a few of my readers are frequent visitors and I am so glad that you return to check out new posts. Thanks for listening to me and I hope to get a chance to listen to you!

Pokemon Is Evil But God Is Good!

I often use Yahoo to search various subjects on the internet. One of the features of the Yahoo homepage is a list of "trending now" topics. Today I was amused and disturbed by the fact that Pokemon is back in the news as it was trending at #6. I found this troubling because I do believe and have believed for several years that Pokemon is evil.

I found an interview by Time Magazine with the creator of Pokemon, Satoshi Tajiri, and here is an excerpt of that interview...

Time: What inspired you to start making the Pokémon games?
Tajiri: Well, my parents were Christians. I grew up being taught the ways of that religion. When I got older, I started to realize that the things they said were foolish and I guess I rebelled a little.
Time: How did you rebel?
Tajiri: I started to argue against their teachings. They tried to punish me in various ways to try to get me under control, but it didn’t work. This is when I was inspired by nature and started the basis for the Pokémon games.
Time: Could you explain how your parent’s religion is connected with the games?
Tajiri: Well, when I got old enough, I wanted to do something that would show the world that my parents were wrong. Something I saw in nature was the concept of evolution which my parents vehemently denied existed. This sparked the idea for a game that would go against everything my parents believed in.
Time: This game being Pokémon, correct?
Tajiri: Yes. Pokémon is essentially the correct answer towards life, not Christianity. Everything presented in the game is the opposite of what Christians may believe. Some have said that the game promotes voodoo or magic, and I agree in the sense that there are many things that occur in nature that are unexplainable. Furthermore, the violence in the games is unparalleled. It may not show up in the actual graphics, but the brutality is made especially explicit in the Pokédex entries. Nature, again, played a big role.
Time: So those who say that the game is anti-Christian are correct?
Tajiri: I suppose so. I mean, some could say that the game supports Satanism. I don’t officially celebrate it, but I can understand why people would be attracted to it.
There it is from the horses mouth. Pokemon is "anti-Christian" and from a heart that rebelled against Godly parents. (Source)
Pokemon originates from the concept of POCKEt MONsters or pocket demons. It is a spin off of Asian demon worship and any parent with a thimble full of common sense should be able to look at these characters and see that they are evil and malevolent.
Sadly, the Bible predicted that in the last days that people would reject virtue and good and would embrace evil. Pokemon is the subject of video games, cartoons, movies, fast food meal toys and a myriad of other exposures. The evil influence on a whole generation of kids is undeniable.
Jesus said that men love darkness rather than light (Source) Men are drawn to evil like a moth is drawn to a flame and the out come of the moth and the man are the same.
In these last days men run after the Devil and run away from the Lord Jesus. As the world continues to come unraveled there is a dire need for some good news and that good news is that there is a Savior who paid the price for our sins and offers us eternal life as a gift.
This past week I rediscovered one of the greatest gospel tracts ever written, God's Simple Plan Of Salvation. This marvelous little message can be read in about 7 minutes and has been read by nearly 700 million people worldwide.
Are you SAVED? Would you like to be SAVED? If you are tired of running after the evil inventions of man and are thirsty for the goodness of God then I urge you to read GOD'S SIMPLE PLAN OF SALVATION!

How To Eliminate Guilt From Your Life - There Is Only One Proven Method!

The dictionary defines guilt (the noun) in two distinct ways. First, guilt is the fact or state of having committed some offense or crime. Second, guilt is a feeling of remorse or responsibility for some crime, offense or wrong. I want to share with you how to eliminate guilt as a fact and as a feeling.
I know that many will find it impossible to believe that guilt can be eliminated as a fact and even fewer would believe the feeling could be erased as well. My texts for proving my theory will be the writings of the Apostle Paul. I refer to this wonderful Bible author because he alone received the gospel that was uniquely given to Gentile believers in this "age of grace". Until Paul received his special revelation no one had ever heard the good news of God's grace found in the risen Savior. . If you doubt my assertion that Paul is the unique messenger for us then just go to Ephesians 3:1-8. Paul received the good news that by simply believing that Christ died, was buried and rose again one can gain eternal life and complete forgiveness of sins.
I Corinthians 15:1-4
Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
Those four verses are the gospel, the good news! The gospel is a declarative message not an imperative message. In other words, it is a message to be believed not a command to be obeyed. God did everything that is necessary to make us perfectly acceptable in His sight and He did this wonderful work through His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.
It is a sad condition in the church today when so many so called teachers and preachers neglect Paul's message of grace and try to mix good works into the equation. It is sad that so many today never hear of the wonderful benefits of believing  in this good news. I want to share a few of these benefits and how they relate to the two categories of guilt and how they both can be eliminated.
In Paul's wonderful letter to the Colossians he made this profound statement:
Colossians 2:13
And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
Upon "faith in Christ" believers are instantly forgiven "all" sins. Most Christians never fully understand the totality of their forgiveness. They are forgiven "all" sins and they are forgiven "forever". If that is true, and I have no reason to doubt God's Word,  then this verse eliminates the fact of our guilt. When God look's upon me He sees the righteousness of Jesus Christ not the guilt of Brad Richardson (see Philippians 3:9).
The argument is often made that God has only forgiven us of past sins and it is the future sins that cause us to lose this great salvation and re-enter a state of guilt. That argument has spawned the formation of many churches and denominations today. But that argument has no power when we consider some of the other benefits of St. Paul's good news. Consider the following verse...
2 Corinthians 5:19
To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
Romans 4:8
Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.
Both of these passages tell us that for the believer God no longer "keeps track" of their sin. The word "impute" is an accounting term and means "to count". How could my future sin be a problem for me if God is not keeping track or counting my sins? Let that sink in just a bit. That is really good news and it is really good news when I consider the fact of my guilt. I am forgiven for all my past offenses and God isn't keeping track of any of my present or future offenses. This is the real reason that Paul's message is good news! Guilt as a fact or state is eliminated when we believe the gospel and receive the benefits.
So if you are convinced that the fact of guilt can be eliminated how can you eliminate the feeling of guilt? Earlier in this post I referenced First Corinthians 15:1-4. Notice the phrase in verse one "wherein ye stand" and the phrase in verse two "if ye keep in memory". These two phrases tell exactly how to erase the feeling of guilt. We must stand in the gospel! The Easy To Read version of the Bible translates it this way "and you continue to base your life on it". To stand in the gospel is to base our life on the gospel. I base my life on the fact that when the Father looks at me He sees the righteousness of His Son and He sees none of my sin nor does He keep track of any of my sins. Do you base your life on that truth? If you did you would not feel guilty all the time! Maybe you knew this precious truth at one time but you have forgotten it and if that is the case then you need to "keep it in memory". You simply need to revisit these truths and have your mind renewed. I encourage you to "remember" these benefits of the gospel.
The recent increase in high profile suicides has caused me to think about the problems that so many people must be facing. I think there must be tons of guilt in the lives of multitudes of people. Often we read about guilt being part of suicide survivors experiences but I believe guilt is a driving force behind the desperate act of suicide itself. How many lives could be saved if more people heard and received the gospel and their guilt could be eliminated in fact and in feeling?
Guilt can be eliminated when we believe the gospel and base our life on it's truths and benefits!

God Of Israel Changes Path Of Hamas Rockets - It's Time To Believe!

Hamas terrorists admit that they see evidence that the God of Israel is intervening in a supernatural way on behalf of Israel. Israel is not perfect but they are the recipients of the promises of God to the patriarch Abraham. God keeps His promises and while Israel is in for some tough times ahead they will ultimately be saved and exalted among the nations.
It is the last days and it is high time to come to Jesus!

The UK Bans Creationism From Their Public Schools- End Times Signs Continue!

This month of June was an eventful month for Great Britain as they made the unbelievably blasphemous decision to kick God to the curb and banned the teaching of creationism. So much for tolerance and diversity!

Worship the Creator and trust His dear Son as your Savior! Time is running out and the age of grace is soon coming to an end.

The John Harper Titanic Story - A Story Of The Supreme Importance Of Believing On Christ

John Harper
It is amazing that of all the incredible things that happened on April 15, 1912 the one story that has gotten practically no attention from this lost dying world is the story of John Harper.
Here is a rendition of this man's incredible last moments...John Harper was born to a pair of solid Christian parents on May 29th, 1872. It was on the last Sunday of March 1886, when he was thirteen years old that he received Jesus as the Lord of his life. He never knew what it was to "sow his wild oats." He began to preach about four years later at the ripe old age of 17 years old by going down to the streets of his village and pouring out his soul in earnest entreaty for men to be reconciled to God.

As John Harper's life unfolded, one thing was apparent...he was consumed by the word of God. When asked by various ministers what his doctrine consisted of, he was known to reply "The Word of God!" After five or six years of toiling on street corners preaching the gospel and working in the mill during the day, Harper was taken in by Rev. E. A. Carter of Baptist Pioneer Mission in London, England. This set Harper free to devote his whole time of energy to the work so dear to his heart. Soon, John Harper started his own church in September of 1896. (Now known as the Harper Memorial Church.) This church which John Harper had started with just 25 members, had grown to over 500 members when he left 13 years later. During this time he had gotten married, but was shortly thereafter widowed. However brief the marriage, God did bless John Harper with a beautiful little girl named Nana.

Titanic's Last Minutes

Ironically, John Harper almost drowned several times during his life. When he was two and a half years of age, he almost drowned when he fell into a well but was resuscitated by his mother. At the age of twenty-six, he was swept out to sea by a reverse current and barely survived, and at thirty-two he faced death on a leaking ship in the Mediterranean. Perhaps, God used these experiences to prepare this servant for what he faced next...

It was the night of April 14, 1912. The RMS Titanic sailed swiftly on the bitterly cold ocean waters heading unknowingly into the pages of history. On board this luxurious ocean liner were many rich and famous people. At the time of the ship's launch, it was the world's largest man-made moveable object. At 11:40 p.m. on that fateful night, an iceberg scraped the ship's starboard side, showering the decks with ice and ripping open six watertight compartments. The sea poured in.

On board the ship that night was John Harper and his much-beloved six-year-old daughter Nana. According to documented reports, as soon as it was apparent that the ship was going to sink, John Harper immediately took his daughter to a lifeboat. It is reasonable to assume that this widowed preacher could have easily gotten on board this boat to safety; however, it never seems to have crossed his mind. He bent down and kissed his precious little girl; looking into her eyes he told her that she would see him again someday. The flares going off in the dark sky above reflected the tears on his face as he turned and headed towards the crowd of desperate humanity on the sinking ocean liner.

As the rear of the huge ship began to lurch upwards, it was reported that Harper was seen making his way up the deck yelling, "Women, children and unsaved into the lifeboats!" It was only minutes later that the Titanic began to rumble deep within. Most people thought it was an explosion; actually the gargantuan ship was literally breaking in half. At this point, many people jumped off the decks and into the icy, dark waters below. John Harper was one of these people.

That night 1528 people went into the frigid waters. John Harper was seen swimming frantically to people in the water leading them to Jesus before the hypothermia became fatal. Mr. Harper swam up to one young man who had climbed up on a piece of debris. Rev. Harper asked him between breaths, "Are you saved?" The young man replied that he was not.

Harper then tried to lead him to Christ only to have the young man who was near shock, reply no. John Harper then took off his life jacket and threw it to the man and said, "Here then, you need this more than I do..." and swam away to other people. A few minutes later Harper swam back to the young man and succeeded in leading him to salvation. Of the 1528 people that went into the water that night, six were rescued by the lifeboats. One of them was this young man on the debris.

Four years later, at a survivors meeting, this young man stood up and in tears recounted how that after John Harper had led him to Christ. Mr. Harper had tried to swim back to help other people, yet because of the intense cold, had grown too weak to swim. His last words before going under in the frigid waters were, "Believe on the Name of the Lord Jesus and you will be saved." Does Hollywood remember this man? No. Oh well, no matter. This servant of God did what he had to do. While other people were trying to buy their way onto the lifeboats and selfishly trying to save their own lives, John Harper gave up his life so that others could be saved.

"Greater love hath no man than this, that he lay down his life for his friends..." John Harper was truly the hero of the Titanic!

I have always been mesmerized by the account of the sinking of the Titanic. I have read many books on the subject and watched a few movies too. But until tonight, I had never read the story of John Harper. I must confess that a story like this one convicts me of the lack of urgency I so often display when I am around those who do not know Christ. For all I know, every time I meet a stranger it might be the last time they have the chance to believe and it may the last chance that I have to share with someone. I also am stricken by the accuracy of John Harper's gospel presentation. Harper asked struggling survivors to do the only thing the Bible asks us to do...BELIEVE. Aren't you glad that he didn't ask those dying folks to "repent of their sins" or to "make Jesus Lord" of their lives? Thankfully the gospel can be preached accurately when there is little time left. The thief on the cross was glad, my grandpa Rentel was glad too.

I think there are a lot of parallels in our present distress and the catastrophic sinking of the Titanic. Folks on the Titanic were eating and drinking right up until the time the ship began to list in the water. Jesus said that men and women would be preoccupied with the activities of life and then be caught off guard by His sudden return.

Matthew 24

37But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

38For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
39And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

I believe we are in the icy waters of the last days. Because I believe these things I want to ask you the same question John Harper asked those dying Titanic victims...

Are you saved?

Watch the video below. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ!

Is Obama Still The One?

The last week of April President Obama made a strange trip into Malaysia. He made a point of visiting the national mosque on Sunday. The Imam asked the President to end oppression of muslims to which Obama replied "Pray for me".
While Mr. Obama continues to stumble in his role as President of the United States he still remains an object of near worship all around the world. Oprah Winfrey told a South Carolina crowd almost six years ago that Barack Obama was "the one". Is he still the One?
Here is a video I made about his Malaysian trip.

It is interesting to note that this mosque is built on a site that was formerly the home of a church. It's odd that the week following Easter was the week that Obama made his visit. Maybe the President should be working and praying for the abolishment of persecution toward Christians by Muslims.
These are strange times, these are end times. Definitely it is time to trust Christ!

Lady Gaga Still Has Time To Be Saved!

In her latest video famed recording artist Lady Gaga purposely blasphemes Jesus Christ and summons a demonic spirit. In spite of all her wickedness there is still time for this woman to place her faith in the finished work of Christ. Her current path of gaining the whole world could cost her soul!
Here is a you tube video I just made concerning the music video that already has 37 million views!

I Watched "The Miracle Of Israel" Documentary Instead Of The Final Four And I'm Glad I Did!

More than 300 years ago King Louis XIV, the Sun King, asked Blaise Pascal, the noted French philosopher, to give him proof of the supernatural. Pascal answered: “Why, the Jews, your Majesty—the Jews.”

I must confess that I spend a little too much time and energy following major college sports. Since my beloved Jayhawk men's basketball team had been bounced out by Stanford you would think I would be less tempted to watch the games but that is not the case. However, on Saturday, April 5, I decided to watch a documentary entitled "The Miracle Of Israel" instead of the Florida vs UCONN game. I am glad that I did because it was a huge blessing and greatly strengthened my faith in the Word of God and the soon returning Messiah, Jesus Christ.

Blaise Pascal was right when he said that the Jews are proof of the supernatural, in fact, they are proof of the existence and preeminence of the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. The documentary lasted an hour and focused on just four prophecies of the Bible that already have been or are being fulfilled right before our eyes. The first sign was the creation of the state of Israel in 1948. The Bible clearly foretold of this event. The prophet Ezekiel in chapter 37, verses 21 and 22, explicitly foretold this event along with multiple other verses. The second sign was the re-gathering of Jews from around the world back to their new homeland. Isaiah in the 11th chapter, verses 11 and 12, predicted this would occur and there are lots more verses that do the same. The third sign will be the rebuilding of the third temple on the temple mount in Jerusalem. Second Thessalonians chapter 2, verses 3 and 4 allude to this as does Daniel 9:27. It is interesting that there is an organization in Israel called the Temple Institute that has spent 27 million dollars in preparing items for the temple such as the golden lamp stand and priestly garments.  Once the Jews are granted the permission to build it won't take long. I believe the building of the temple is an event that will transpire in the first half of the tribulation.
The fourth sign is the increased anticipation for the coming of Messiah. This is evident in Israel and among Jews worldwide. It is especially evident among Christians who are truly watching for the return of Jesus!

I encourage anyone, believer or non-believer, to go to their site..http://www.themiracleofisrael.com and order the video, it will bless you and inspire you to see Jesus as the hope of the nations and the soon coming King.

Dear Reader, the time is running out for excuses and delay. You need to move quickly now and believe on and trust in the Lord Jesus as your Savior. I encourage you to watch the short video in the right sidebar to help clarify just how simple and blessed this can be.

Some Of My Thoughts While Traveling Through The Atlanta Airport

I recently traveled to Tampa, Florida with my wife to help our son and his wife complete their move from Frankfort, Kentucky. I don't fear flying but I don't particularly enjoy the experience either. I do a lot of observing when I'm in a jet or an airport. For instance, I took notice of the the spectacular beauty of the Tampa airport. The stunning inlaid floors and indoor palm trees left a favorable impression on me. My son would share with me later that the airport in Tampa was voted one of the 10 nicest airports in America and I can certainly believe it. However, the biggest impact on my psyche came from the lay over in Atlanta. The Hartsfield - Jackson Atlanta International Airport is the busiest airport in the world. We had a lay over on the way to Tampa and on the way back home to Kansas City. The return flight had us landing in Georgia at 3 o'clock in the afternoon on a Wednesday. The mass of people was unbelievable. There were times when I wondered if I were to trip and fall if I would just be trampled by hurried travelers. This wasn't the first time that I had been through AIA but this may have been the first time that I really sensed the massive movement of humanity through those many gates.
When I arrived home I took some time to research the statistics on air traffic through Atlanta and the numbers were staggering. Every day there are approximately 260,000 people who come through this behemoth in Atlanta. That is an amazing 10,833 an hour! Nearly 11,000 people arriving and departing ever hour of every day!
Aerial view of Atlanta airport.
There are certain events and places that make me think of eternity and my own mortality and a large airport is one of those places. My curiosity moved me to check another statistic. I found out that 232,000 people leave this planet every day via their own death. There is not a whole lot of difference between the numbers of people passing through Atlanta airport and the numbers of people passing into eternity. That thought is very shocking and sobering. One of the phrases I heard every time we boarded a plane was "the unlikely event". This is a phrase the flight attendants would use in describing the probability that we would need a flotation device in case our aircraft crashed. I suppose it's true that it would be an unlikely event to crash in a body of water on a plane ride. It's safer to fly than to drive a car. But that phrase reminded me that there are some events in life that are definitely not "unlikely". The eventuality of my death and your death is not only likely it is an absolute certainty! Remember, 10,000 people every hour die, one day you and I will be a part of that statistic. The writer of the the Biblical book of Hebrews says "that as it is appointed unto men once to die and after that the judgement". Dear Reader do you understand the magnitude of that statement? You and I are appointed to die and then we will be judged.
As I walked through the masses of people and think of the multitudes that will die today there is a sense of peace that fills my heart because I have done all I can do to prepare for the day of my death. When I say that I have "done all that I can do" I want you to understand that all I have done is that I have placed my faith in Jesus Christ's death, burial and resurrection to be sufficient payment for my sins. I am simply a believer in Jesus. The good news is that you too can be prepared for the certain event of your death. Let me close with these words of instruction on how to be ready for death...

1. The bad News. We are sinners. (Romans 3:23.)
We deserve to be punished in hell for our sins.

2. The Good News. Jesus Christ who is God's Son died on the cross for all of your sins. He was buried & rose again to give you eternal life in heaven as a free gift. (1 Corinthians 15:3-4. Romans 6:23.)

3. How am I saved?
Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved. (Acts 16:31.)

4. Once saved, always saved.
Jesus said in John 6:47. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.

Do you believe that you are saved by grace and promised heaven because Jesus died for you? Yes_ No_.

Pastor Robert Jeffress Interview With Bill O'Reilly Deserves Applause!

" I want you to hear me tonight, I am not saying that President Obama is the Antichrist, I am not saying that at all. One reason I know he's not the Antichrist is the Antichrist is going to have much higher poll numbers when he comes. President Obama is not the Antichrist. But what I am saying is this: the course he is choosing to lead our nation is paving the way for the future reign of the Antichrist."  - Pastor Robert Jeffress

I want to applaud Pastor Robert Jeffress for his courage to proclaim truth on the Bill O'Reilly Show. Pastor Jeffress is the Senior Pastor of the prestigious First Baptist Church of Dallas. His primary purpose for the interview was to talk about his book, Perfect Ending, but Bill O'Reilly tried to corner him on some of his thoughts about our current president.
Bro. Jeffress, unlike the vast majority of milk-toast pastors in America, was bold to point out the lawlessness of our Commander and Chief. Pastor Jeffress went even further in saying that Obama is laying the ground work for the coming world dictator, the Antichrist. Here is the interview in full.

Pastor Jeffress has a very powerful and well paid position. If he behaved like 95% of the pastors in this country he would be as politically correct as possible and do all in his power to maintain his paycheck. He certainly would not speak so boldly on a national news network. Thank God Jeffress has chosen to be faithful to his calling. I felt a sense of pride ,as a Southern Baptist myself , when he called abortion "evil" and condemned Obamacare for forcing Christians to pay for it through this train wreck healthcare bill. I heard a seldom mentioned theme when he heralded the soon coming of Jesus Christ and assured Bill O'Reilly that his book Perfect Ending predicts for the world  a brighter future because Jesus will soon run the planet.
Where are the brave voices from America's pulpits? Where is the outcry against the darkness of the moment we are living?
If you were to look up the bibliography of Robert Jeffress you would find that he boldly writes about sin, hell, Bible prophecy and the grace of God found in Jesus Christ. I recommend his books and sermons and if you are living in Dallas why not visit his church this Sunday!
